Overcoming anxieties, doubts and ruminations
In our society, it is easy to become overwhelmed by anxieties, doubts and obsessive thoughts that prevent us from living life to the fullest.
Anxieties, doubts and ruminations can affect us all at some point in our lives. What is the difference between the three?
- Anxieties are often feelings of apprehension or fear about the future (fear of the future),
- Doubts can arise from uncertainty about our choices or our skills (fear of acting in the present),
- Ruminations are repetitive and obsessive thoughts about past situations or current concerns (regret for past situations, nostalgia).
You have to learn to live in the present moment. Very often, by wanting to anticipate everything we develop a fear of the unknown that we can no longer control since it is impossible to have all the answers.
Sometimes we just have to think about the broad outlines of our projects and tell ourselves that it will work, which prevents paralysis.
Let's learn to treat ourselves with kindness and compassion, even when we face challenges or mistakes. Practicing self-compassion can help you overcome feelings of insecurity and develop better self-esteem.
Remember that you are not alone in facing your fears!
