Saint Laurent - SS 2026 : Audacity in Front of the Eiffel Tower

The Yves Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2026 show, presented during Paris Fashion Week on September 29, 2025, was a stunning opening to the season. Designed by Anthony Vaccarello, the house's artistic director, the show blended sensuality, power, and the YSL heritage, all under the glittering gaze of the Eiffel Tower.

A grandiose staging

The set, installed at the Trocadéro, offered a spectacular view of the Parisian monument.

In the gardens, white hydrangeas formed the initials YSL, visible from the sky. The nighttime ambiance, playing on contrasts of light and shadow, brought a dramatic intensity to the presentation.

Three acts for one woman

The collection was constructed as a three-part progression :

  • the power of leather: black skirts, jackets, and corsets opened the show, paired with immaculate blouses with exaggerated bows. A strong contrast evoked an assertive, almost warrior-like femininity ;
  • controlled transparency: trench coats and light dresses in translucent nylon then revealed the body, playing on the ambiguity between nudity and elegance (a subtle but deliberate provocation) ;
  • revisited romanticism: the finale revealed long, vaporous dresses, draped in flowing fabrics, floating in the night breeze. A modern reinterpretation of the house's great historical silhouettes.

Materials, colors, and details

Black dominates the collection, balanced by white and neutral shades like beige and taupe.

Leather is paired with airy fabrics, reinforcing the play of contrasts. The details remain minimalist and sophisticated, allowing the silhouette to speak for itself.

In conclusion,

This collection is more than just a runway show ; it's a statement. Anthony Vaccarello reminds us that the Saint Laurent woman is multifaceted : strong, sensual, and elusive. Between armor and lightness, provocation and romanticism, the house once again succeeds in combining its heritage with dazzling modernity.
