The departmental and regional Miss pageants competitions have resumed with their share of glamour, elegance and suspense in order to allow the election of Miss France at the end of the year.

This is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the diversity, grace and talent of the candidates.

In this photo, we find one of the members of the Tall community, Melissa ATTA BESSIOM who proudly won the title of Miss Maine-et-Loire 2024 after months of preparation. Remember that she is 5’9 and is very present on social medias, more particularly on Tik Tok.

Miss pageants are not just about the physical aspect. They are also an opportunity to highlight the talent, intelligence and social commitment of the participants. Contestants compete in areas such as swimsuit parade, evening wear and general knowledge questions, demonstrating their versatility and charisma.

For many young women, participating in a Miss pageant is much more than just a competition. This is the opportunity to make their voices heard, promote causes that are important to them and make their dreams come true. Many former Misses have managed to build careers in fields as varied as cinema, politics and business, thanks to the visibility and opportunities offered by their title.

Miss competitions are evolving to better reflect the diversity of our society.

In 2023, with her arrival within the Miss France committee, Alexia Laroche-Joubert reformed the conditions for selecting candidates.

The new selection conditions are as follows :

- Be over 18 years old with no age limit,

- You dont have to be born as a female but your “civil status” as to recognize you as part of the femage gender,

- Tattoos are allowed,

- The competition is now open to mothers.

The rules that have not changed :

- Be at least 5’6,

- Not having had cosmetic surgery unless it is restorative,

- Not having participated in competitions that undermine the values of the Miss France competition,

- Do not have naked photos or videos disclosed,

- Have not carried out any political propaganda and have not been the subject of any criminal conviction,

- Not have photos or videos revealing the consumption of tobacco and alcohol,

- Possibility of competing a maximum of 3 times in the beauty contest.
